I'm Alex, a wedding DJ from Germany. I make sure your dance floor is packed before Uncle Jürgen ties his necktie around his head.
I see when Aunt Petra starts tapping her foot. That's when her song comes on. And right after it, the one nobody saw coming.
Grandparents, friends, colleagues, parents. Over the night there's something for everyone, without it ever sounding like a compilation.
We talk through your first dance, your favourite music and the schedule. On the day itself it just works, because we know each other.
★★★★★“We couldn't stop smiling. It was our day, and we're still in a trance from this wedding.”
Couple, Wedding“Everyone thanked us. All I get are messages about how amazing the night was.”
Voice message“Our guests were thrilled. Almost everyone said the next morning that the music was insanely good.”
Madita and Henning“If you want an unforgettable night, worn out dancing shoes and a real pro, he's your guy.”

In our first call we don't just talk about music, but about your guests, your story and the feeling your day should have.
Plan
We set the highlights, from the apéro to the first dance to the party. Your song wishes go into the online music planner.
Celebrate
When the lights come on at three and nobody wants to head for the coat check, I've done my job.
What I am. And what I'm not.
That's me
- A DJ who mixes live and feels the vibe on the dance floor
- Your contact from the first message to the last song
- A host with experience from hundreds of weddings
- Open to your wishes and your culture
That's not me
- An entertainer glued to the mic running party games
- An off the shelf standard wedding playlist
- Hours of German Schlager or a Ballermann night
- A DJ who packs up at one just when it's getting good
Your night doesn't need a playlist. It needs you.
That's how grandma, auntie, best friends and colleagues end up on the same dance floor. Requests from the crowd go in at just the right moment.
Current charts
Whatever is big in the charts and on TikTok right now, like Sabrina Carpenter, Rosé and Bruno Mars with APT. or Lady Gaga. I keep this list constantly up to date.
Hip hop and RnB
The classics everyone raps along to: Rihanna, Usher with Yeah, Aaliyah, Beyoncé with Crazy in Love and 50 Cent.
Afrobeat and Latin
Shakira with Hips Don't Lie, HUGEL with his Latin house, Daddy Yankee, J Balvin with Mi Gente, Rema with Calm Down and Burna Boy. Every hip moves.
German rap
Apache 207, Sido, Bushido and co. Not a regular at weddings, but on request the block is on.
House and deep house
Strong ladies with vocal house: Whitney Houston with It's Not Right But It's Okay, Robin S with Show Me Love, Crystal Waters with Gypsy Woman. Plus smooth deep house for later.
90s and 2000s
Haddaway with What Is Love, Dr. Alban with It's My Life, Culture Beat, Snap and of course Avicii with Levels and Wake Me Up.
Disco and club sound
Real club feeling with David Guetta, Calvin Harris, Fisher, Purple Disco Machine and Robin Schulz. Funky, loud and with bass you can feel.
Middle Eastern
Arab house with modern beats and classics like Şımarık by Tarkan. Perfect when families from different worlds come together.

From host to DJ.
Hi, I'm Alex. For years I hosted weddings at our own venue. I cooked, ran the schedule and DJ'd through the night.
I know when the buffet is running late, when the speeches drag on and when the dance floor is about to dip. Not from books, but because I've lived hundreds of wedding days from the inside, from the first glass at the apéro to cleaning up at four.
That's exactly what I bring to you now, wherever you celebrate, including a destination wedding. Reliable, punctual and easygoing. The only thing you need to take care of is celebrating.
Your party. My job.

What does a night with you cost?
The price depends on hours, venue and extras like lighting. You'll get a fixed final price within a few hours, no hidden costs.
When should we get in touch?
As early as possible. From May to September dates go fast, 9 to 12 months ahead is ideal. Short notice is still worth a try.
When do you start playing?
Whenever you like: during the ceremony, at the apéro, from dinner on or just for the first dance.
What happens if you get sick on the day?
In a real emergency I have a network of DJ colleagues I've worked with for years. Your must plays, no gos and schedule are all documented, so the night still runs exactly as planned.
What music do you play?
A modern mix for packed dance floors: charts, house, dance, EDM, Afrobeat, hip hop, RnB, club sound, 90s, 2000s, Latin, German rap, pop, rock, disco, lounge and deep house. Personal, high energy, never a standard playlist. German Schlager and cult hits can go in too, picked to match the mood. What won't happen: hours of Schlager.
What music isn't your thing?
Heavy metal, German hard rock, Rammstein or Böhse Onkelz as the main theme of the night aren't my focus. Pure Ballermann nights aren't for me either. Single classics or requested hits are fine.
Can I send a no go list?
Sure. Send me songs, artists or genres you don't want to hear and I'll stick to it. Never on the menu: far right music and songs with discriminatory or offensive lyrics.
What equipment do you bring?
A complete setup: DJ booth, sound system, mics and cables. On request stylish accent lighting or a full light show with moving heads.
And if nobody dances?
Hasn't happened in all these years. I meet people where they are. By the third classic at the latest, even Uncle Jürgen is on his feet.
Do you do photography too?
If you like, yes. Photographer by day and DJ by night, all from one source and better value as a package. See my work at alex-maus.de.
Is your date still free?
Send me your date and venue. I'll get back to you quickly, and then we'll chat about your party over a coffee.
